We at MFD hope your summer is off to a fun and relaxing start! We’ve already had a few folks at MFD who’ve taken trips or a little time off, with more exciting adventures to come in the season.
But before we get too far into summer break mode we want to provide a few updates for the office and our relationship with different insurance carriers.
Here are the insurances we’ll still be participating providers with
Rest assured, we are remaining in network with (just about every) PPO or insurance you’re eligible for through your job, as well as all Medicare plans for those individuals who are eligible.
That includes (but is not limited to):

- Metlife
- Aetna
- United Healthcare
- Anthem
- Medical Mutual
- Teamcare
- Cigna
- Guardian
- Humana
- …And so many others
We Will No Longer Be Participating With The Ohio Medicaid Plans
Beginning on Wednesday, June 7, MFD will no longer be a participating provider with the Ohio Medicaid program.
Some of the most common Ohio Medicaid plans are:
- CareSource
- Molina
- Buckeye
- …And many others
Dr. Monfredi and the other providers here have been in network with most of the Ohio Medicaid plans since she purchased the practice in June 2017, and while many factors contributed to this change we want to make sure that our patients with the Ohio Medicaid program have options.
Option #1 – MFD’s In-House Membership Program
Our membership program costs $250/year for adults and $210/year for children, and it includes 2 regular cleanings, all of your exams and X-rays for the year, and discounts on nearly every procedure we offer in the office.

Option #2 – Still Utilize Your Medicaid Plan With A Different Provider
We have been in contact with a few other providers in our area who will remain in network with your Ohio Medicaid plan and continue to accept new patients. You always have the ability to contact your Medicaid plan directly to see which other providers are available to you.
We Will Continue Providing The Best Quality Care With Excellent Service
Our motto from the beginning has been Friendly Staff. Excellent Service. Beautiful Smiles. And although we’ll continue to grow and evolve as a dental office over time, those values will remain.
